This Privacy Policy explains how Clipmine (“Clipmine,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use our website, applications, and services (together, the “Service”). We have written it to be honest and readable. It is a generic draft and should be reviewed by legal counsel before it is relied upon.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to run the Service and to turn the videos you share into useful briefs. Specifically:
- Account and brand information — your name, email, password credentials, workspace details, and the brand profile you provide (positioning, audience, product details, tone, objectives).
- Product URLs — links to your app, store listings, or website that you add so we can ground briefs in your actual product.
- Captured links and metadata — the short-form video URLs you share and the public metadata associated with them (caption, author handle, public counts, timestamps, and similar fields).
- Transcripts — machine-generated transcriptions of the audio in the videos you capture, used to analyze structure and messaging.
- Analyses — the structured breakdowns we generate (hook, structure, format, mechanism, hypotheses, signal calculations).
- Briefs — the original concepts, scripts, shot lists, and cut-downs we produce from your captures and your brand profile.
- Usage and device data — log data, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and product analytics events used to operate and improve the Service.
- Payment information — billing details processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service.
- Process captured videos into transcripts, analyses, and briefs.
- Personalize briefs against your brand profile and objectives.
- Communicate with you about your account, billing, and product changes.
- Measure usage, debug problems, and improve features.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
AI processing and model training
Generating analyses and briefs requires sending captured content, transcripts, and your brand profile to AI providers for inference. We are deliberate about this:
- We do not train shared, general-purpose models on your private brand data without your consent. Your brand profile, private captures, and the briefs we generate for you are not used to train models that serve other customers unless you explicitly opt in.
- We contract with AI providers on terms intended to prevent your inputs and outputs from being used to train their foundation models, where such terms are available.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you to improve our own product quality and prompts.
Subprocessors
We rely on a small set of third-party services to operate the Service. Each receives only the data needed for its function and is bound by data-processing terms. Our current subprocessors are:
- Supabase — Database, authentication, and application storage.
- Cloudflare R2 — Object storage for captured media and generated assets.
- Stripe — Subscription billing and payment processing.
- Resend — Transactional and account email delivery.
- PostHog — Product analytics and usage measurement.
- Sentry — Error monitoring and performance diagnostics.
- Trigger.dev — Background job and workflow orchestration.
- AI provider — Model inference for transcription, analysis, and brief generation.
This list may change as the Service evolves. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes to our subprocessors.
Source attribution and ownership
Clipmine preserves the original source attribution of the videos you capture and links back to them where possible. We do not claim ownership of third-party content, and we make no promise that any captured video, pattern, or output is cleared of copyright or other third-party rights. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the content and the briefs you produce is lawful. See our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy for details.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the subprocessors listed above, when you direct us to (for example, exporting a brief), to comply with law or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Clipmine and its users. In a merger or acquisition, information may transfer subject to this Policy.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We retain certain records longer where required for legal, accounting, or security reasons. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Account and data deletion
You can delete individual captures, analyses, and briefs from within the product. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. On account deletion we remove your personal data and content from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to backups that age out on a rolling schedule and to records we are legally required to keep.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service changes. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Because this is an early draft, expect it to be revised once reviewed by counsel.
