What Clipmine keeps, why, who helps us run it, and the choices you have.
This policy explains how Clipmine (“we”) handles information when you use the Clipmine app and website (the “Service”). Questions: [email protected].
Who we are
Clipmine is provided by Alonzo Digital Ltd, registered in England and Wales, at Unit 501 Leroy House, 434-436 Essex Road, London, United Kingdom, N1 3FY. Alonzo Digital Ltd is the data controller for the information described here under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For anything about this policy or your information, including data protection, write to [email protected].
Where your saves are
On Free, ordinary saves and their files stay on this device. Choosing analysis sends only the selected save’s required content and files to Clipmine. With Plus or Pro and an account, Cloud Sync transfers your library automatically unless you turn it off on this phone. Signing in on Free does not upload or back up local-only saves. Copies already sent to Clipmine remain subject to the existing account deletion and export controls. Export a copy of local-only saves to keep them if this app is deleted or the device is lost.
What we keep
- Your saves. The links, titles, notes, files, photos and videos of the saves that reach Clipmine — a save you chose to analyse, or your library with Cloud Sync — under your account or, if you haven't signed in, under your phone's guest identity. A save that stays on your device is not sent to us; saving alone doesn't analyse anything.
- Pages you share from Safari. The words and picture of the page as you saw it travel with the link and stay on your phone. They are sent to Clipmine only if you ask for that save to be analysed, and are never shown to anyone else who saves the same link.
- What we understand from a save. Transcripts, summaries, text read from pictures and files, and the other results of analysing it.
- Ask. Your questions, the answers, and what an answer quoted from your saves or from web pages. Conversations are kept in Clipmine under your account or guest identity, whether or not Cloud Sync is on, until you delete them.
- Your account. If you sign in: your Apple or Google account identifier and the email address it gives us (which may be an Apple relay address).
- Your plan. Which plan you have and its renewal state, from the App Store through our subscription provider. We never see your card details.
- Your phone. If you allow notifications: a notification token, the phone's platform and language, and whether you want analysis results notified.
- Server logs. Records of requests to our servers, used for security and to fix problems, deleted after 30 days.
Your phone keeps your library so it opens at once and works offline. Notification history is kept only on the phone. When you save a link, your phone asks that site — and for TikTok, YouTube and Vimeo links, their preview service — for its title and picture.
Why we use it
To save and show your library; to analyse a save when you ask, or when you turned on Analyze this save while saving, on a plan that includes it; to answer your Ask questions; with Cloud Sync, to keep your library the same on your phones; to let assistants you connect read it; to send notifications you turned on; to know your plan; and to keep the Service secure. We don't sell your information and we don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us run Clipmine
Each receives only what its job needs:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, the database that holds your library, conversations and account, and push notifications.
- Apple and Google — Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in; Apple processes App Store payments; their notification services deliver notifications, which name the save they are about.
- RevenueCat — knowing which plan your App Store purchase gives you.
- MiniMax — the AI model that understands saves and writes Ask answers. It receives the parts of your saves and the question it works on.
- Groq — turning speech in videos into text. It receives the audio.
- Apify — fetching public Instagram, TikTok and YouTube posts when a save is analysed.
- FxEmbed — fetching public X posts when a save is analysed.
- Web search (Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing) — when Ask looks something up on the web, it receives the search words, not your library. DuckDuckGo also provides the small icons of the sites shown.
- Cloudflare — carries the connection between the app or website and our servers.
- Our own servers — hold uploaded files, analysis records and the pages Clipmine reads for you.
AI and your content
Your saves are sent to the providers above only to work on your request. We don't use your library to train AI models.
Connected assistants (MCP)
On Pro, you can connect an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT. It reads your library through Clipmine while you use it, under that provider's own policy. A connection reads; only a connection you also allowed to organise can archive or unarchive saves. No connection can create or delete saves or move them to Trash. You can remove a connection at any time on https://clipmine.ai/connections; deleting your account removes them all.
Keeping and deleting
- We keep the saves we receive until you delete them. Saves in Trash stay there until you delete them for good.
- A library that was never sent to Clipmine is only on your phone. Delete local data in Privacy & data removes it there; there is no account to delete, and none is created to delete it.
- Deleting a save for good removes it, its note, its analysis and the files you uploaded with it. What Clipmine read from a public post or page belongs to that source and may stay after you delete your save, with nothing that links it to you. Answers you already received keep what they quoted.
- Deleting a conversation for good closes it at once and erases its questions, answers and what they quoted from our servers straight away, without waiting for you to delete your account. An answer that was still being written is not kept. All that stays is a marker with the date it was deleted, which keeps it from coming back, until you delete your account.
- An export is deleted from our servers 24 hours after it is made.
- Deleting your account removes your account, your saves, notes, collections, conversations and uploaded files from Clipmine and from your phone, together with the count of analyses you used and the connections of any assistant you connected. A connected assistant stops working the moment you confirm, and nothing it was given can be used to reach your library again. Uploaded files finish clearing shortly after, and the app shows when. We keep only a record that the deletion happened — when, and how many saves and files it covered — with nothing you saved in it. A guest can delete their data the same way. Deleting doesn't cancel an App Store subscription.
Your choices
- Export this device's library, including its files, with notes, collections and summaries, as one ZIP, free, in Privacy & data. What is already in Clipmine is added when it can be reached, and making the copy uploads nothing.
- Delete saves, conversations, this device's local data, or your whole account in the app, or your account without the app at https://clipmine.ai/delete-account.
- Notifications can be turned off in the app or in iOS Settings.
- To ask about, correct or delete your information in any other way, write to [email protected].
Children
Clipmine is not meant for children under 13, or the minimum age where you live.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to how your information is used, we'll tell you in the app.
