Acceptable Use Policy

Clipmine is built to help you make original work — not to copy, scrape, or pass off someone else’s content as your own. These are the lines we ask you to stay inside.

Last updated June 19, 2026

This is a working draft. It is a generic template provided for transparency and is pending review by qualified legal counsel. It is not legal advice and may change.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) describes conduct that is prohibited on Clipmine (the “Service”). It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. This is a generic draft and should be reviewed by legal counsel before it is relied upon. Violating this Policy may result in content removal, suspension, or termination.

No illegal or harmful content

You may not use the Service to capture, generate, store, or distribute content that:

  • Is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
  • Infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or threatening.
  • Is sexually exploitative, especially anything involving minors.
  • Contains malware or is designed to harm systems or people.

No scraping or platform abuse

The Service captures the specific videos you share with it. You may not:

  • Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect content or data in violation of any platform’s terms, rate limits, or technical protections.
  • Circumvent access controls, captchas, or anti-automation measures.
  • Overload, probe, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Resell or redistribute raw captured data in a way that violates source-platform terms.

No reposting others’ content as your own

Clipmine reuses the mechanism behind a video — the hook, structure, and pattern — to help you make something original. It is not a tool for republishing other creators’ work. You may not:

  • Repost, re-upload, or redistribute another creator’s video, audio, or footage as your own.
  • Strip, alter, or misrepresent source attribution.
  • Use the Service to impersonate a creator, brand, or person.
  • Produce content that is a substantial copy of a source rather than an original adaptation.

Respect platform and third-party terms

You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of the platforms your captured videos come from, and with the rights of the creators and rights-holders involved. Clipmine preserves source attribution, does not claim ownership of third-party content, and does not promise that any captured video or generated output is cleared of copyright or other rights. Clearing rights for what you publish is your responsibility.

No abuse of the analysis and brief outputs

  • Do not use outputs to deceive, defraud, or mislead audiences.
  • Do not present AI-generated analyses or signals as guaranteed facts or outcomes.
  • Do not use the Service to generate content that violates the rules above.

Security and integrity

  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems.
  • Do not reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law.
  • Do not share your account or resell access without authorization.

Reporting and enforcement

If you believe content on Clipmine misattributes your work, infringes your rights, or otherwise violates this Policy, use our takedown process. We review reports and may remove content, warn, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion. We may also report unlawful activity to authorities.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date above. Because this is an early draft, expect revisions once reviewed by counsel.
